William "Bill" VanGieson

February 10, 1956 ~ July 19, 2022 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Obituary

William “Bill” C. VanGieson, 66, of Ringtown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Geisinger Danville after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born and raised in Montclair, NJ.  In 1988, he moved his family to Ringtown, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Florence (Andrews) VanGieson.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathleen (Conroy) VanGieson, a son Daniel, a daughter, Paige and her husband, Samuel Priddy all of Ringtown.  Also, sisters and brothers Theresa (Ronald) Corra-Sheppton, PA; Thomas (Deborah) VanGieson - Hamburg, PA; David (Jacqueline) VanGieson – Sheppton, PA; Marilyn (Dale) Stefanisko – Prior Lake, MN and Barbara (Domenick) Cassise – Sugarloaf, PA; several nieces and nephews and in-laws in NJ.

Prior to Bill’s retirement he was a copier/computer technician for 10 years with North Central Digital Systems in Danville, PA.  He was quite the handyman in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and car repair just to name a few.  He loved to cook, was a gun enthusiast, and an avid Star Trek and Star Wars fan. He loved his whole family dearly. He left us way too soon and will be sorely missed.

The family would like to thank the team of doctors and nurses in the ICU at Geisinger Danville for the excellent care Bill received.  No services are planned.
