We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home
Michael Fufla, 69 of Ringtown, returned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
Michael was born June 24, 1952, the son of the late Michael and Anna Fufla. He was a caring son and brother and a very devoted husband and father.
A 1970 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School and a 1974 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Michael earned his degree in electrical engineering and was an engineering instructor throughout his career. He worked for various local colleges, including the Pennsylvania State University, Kutztown University, and Lehigh Carbon Community College. His favorite job, however, was at SCI Mahanoy where he taught computer-aided drafting (CAD) from 1995 until his retirement in 2013.
He was a member of the former St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, and later St. Michael's Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Shenandoah. He was an altar server in his youth and often read the Epistle during Divine Liturgy in his later years.
Michael was a big music buff and had the ability to name songs and artists from virtually any decade. He enjoyed having weekly “record shows” for his family and playing a variety of both old and new hits. He was also a fan of WWE, and he regularly tuned in each week to see his favorite wrestlers in action.
While his passing has brought great sadness to his family and friends, Michael has been joyfully reunited with his one true love, his dearest Eleanor, after five long months apart. They had been married for 35 years but knew each other for over 50, and they are happily together once again.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Michael is preceded in death by his sisters, Joan Fufla Brown and Nancy Fufla Copeland.
Michael is survived by his beloved and dedicated daughter, Julie Yagielniskie, with her husband, Scott, and an expected granddaughter. He is also survived by extended family
As per his wishes, the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home is providing private services for his immediate family.
In Michael’s memory, enjoy a good dinner at your favorite restaurant with family and friends.
