Marilyn Hartz Obituary

Marilyn D. Hartz, 80, of Ringtown, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Marilyn was born in Nuremberg on October 31, 1942, a daughter of the late Abner and Marie (Patt) Foose.

Marilyn last worked for and was retired from the Hershey Corporation in Humbolt, having previously worked at Genova in Valmont.  She was a dedicated, hardworking woman her entire life, and touched many peoples lives.  He involvement in the Ladies Auxilliary of the Nuremberg Legion had her overseeing many successful fundraisers for veterans, as well as being instrumental in the Hometown Hero's banner campaign.

Marilyn loved to travel, enjoying bus trips, cruises and camping.  She was of the Methodist faith, and a former Queen of the Red Hat Society.  Marilyn had an unconditional love for her family and was a very generous person.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her son Todd Hartz, and by a sister, Beverly Michael.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Ronald Hartz, Jr. of Sheppton, and Renee, wife of Chris Gubala of Ringtown.  5 grandchildren, Ronald, Samantha, Shawn, Joseph and Travis survive, as do 3 great grandchildren, Ayden, Melia and Jayden.  She is also survived by her siblings,  Annette Olson, Dawn Colosimo, Lanny Foose, Sharon Homan, Dorothy Irvin, Jean Braskey, Kevin Foose, June Minnig, and Debra Flurie, along with 26 nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, December 21st, 2022 at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Inc., 412 West Main Street, Ringtown.  Visitation with Marilyn's family will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Marilyn will be laid to rest at the Nuremberg Cemetery, immediately following the service.
