Chris Edward Teter, 40, of Zion Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 4, 2021.
Chris was born in Pottsville on July 8, 1980, the son of Carl E. Teter, Zion Grove and Lisa (Zelli) Rhoads, Shenandoah.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Ricky L. Teter of Zion Grove. Additionally he leaves behind three nieces, Alexis M. Teter, Lavelle; Pandora N. Teter, Zion Grove; and Allena C. Teter, Zion Grove. He thought the world of his nieces and treated them as if they were his own daughters. Several aunts, uncles and many cousins survive. Family was important to Chris, and he put forth effort to honor his ancestral roots. This was evident when he took his nieces to church, maintained the family garden, and by prominently displaying treasured family heirlooms.
He was always employed and his work came in several forms from various sectors. This ranged from production work at Bemis and Pine Grove Homes, laying tile, welding and most recently as a construction worker for Miller Brothers Construction.
Chris had a very unique ability to connect with people of varying backgrounds. He was free-spirited, upbeat and always ready for a good laugh. His willingness to help family, friends and neighbors with any and all tasks will be irreplaceably missed.
Additionally Chris liked live music and was an avid concert attendee. He also enjoyed hotrod cars, motorcycles and fresh air. His recreational activities included shooting, fishing and hunting, especially for trophy bucks. As the type of person who was always on the go, Chris could often be found maintaining his family property or helping loved ones with their endeavors. He always had time to chat with others, appreciate a good joke and interact with people from all walks of life. What he enjoyed the most was sharing some good conversation, laughs and living life to the fullest.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 at 11 AM at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Zion Grove.
