Zbigniew Kakol, fondly known as "Joe," passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 69, surrounded by family his home in Ringtown.

Born on May 26, 1944, in Warsaw, Poland, Joe Kakol was the son of the Bolslaw Kakol and Krystyna Kakol, of Orwigsburg. From the bustling streets of Brooklyn, New York, where Joe grew up, to the quiet charm of Ringtown, Joe embraced life with a resilient spirit and unwavering determination.

A true New Yorker at heart, Joe Kakol held a special place for his hometown sports teams, passionately cheering for the Jets and Mets. However, his loyalty knew no bounds when it came to football, as he supported the Green Bay Packers.

Joe was retired, having last worked locally at Jeld-Wen in RIngtown.  When not working, Joe enjoyed honing his mechanical skills, working on cars.

He leaves behind his wife, Patrice Kakol, with whom he shared countless joys and weathered life's storms. His sons, Joseph and Patrick, and his daughter, Krystyna, along with their children, his beloved grandchildren also survive.
