William "Wild Bill" Weikel, 55, of Ferndale Hill Drive, Zion Grove, passed away unexpectedly Monday in Bethel.

Bill was born in Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 3, 1958, a son of William Weikel, Zion Grove, and the late Carrie Shoup Weikel.

Wild Bill was a truck enthusiast and worked as a driver and as an all-around go-to man for Stauffer and Sons Trucking Co., Ringtown.

In addition to his father, Bill is survived by a daughter, Tanya Weikel, Zion Grove; a son, Philip Weikel and his wife, Bobbi Jo, Nescopeck; a sister, Debbie Burns, Ringtown; a brother, James Weikel, Shenandoah; three grandchildren, Robert, Brandon and Alivia Jayne; many friends and an extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service. Bill will be laid to rest during private burial services at Brandonville Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Bill's family requests donations be made to Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown, PA 17967, in order to help defray expenses.
