Violet Trusky, 88, of Mahanoy City, passed away Feb. 14 in Pottsville.
Born in the Colorada section of Shenandoah, Dec. 25, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Socker Petrousky.
She was a member of the former St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City.
In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Peanuts" Trusky, who together owned and operated Trusky's TV on Spruce Street in Mahanoy City for many years. They both enjoyed traveling and were accomplished world travelers during the course of their lifetime.
Violet is survived by her son, Edward Trusky Jr.; grandson, Edward Trusky III, both of Mahanoy City; two sisters, Mary Kohen and Helena Holloway, both of Mahanoy City; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, Oak and Chestnut streets, Shenandoah, with Monsignor Myron Grabowsky officiating. Relatives and friends are asked to meet Wednesday morning at the church prior to the start of the service. Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W.
