Travis V. McGee, 23, of Shenandoah, passed away Sunday while pursing his passion of dirt bike riding.
Born in Hazleton, May 9, 1991, he was a son of Vincent J. and Cheryl A. McGhee McGee.
He attended the South Vo-Tech, Mar Lin, and was a 2009 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School.
An avid dirt bike and four-wheeler rider, Travis was a laid-back man who knew and was friends with everyone.
A talented machinist and mechanic, he worked as a machinist for Penn Equipment, Port Carbon.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are three brothers, Jason, Bryan and Justin Shedaker; a sister, Amanda McGee Fishburn; paternal grandfather, Vincent McGee Sr., Burlington, N.J.; and maternal grandmother, Priscilla McGhee, Edgewater Park, N.J.; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends; and his girlfriend of three years, Tia Knapp, Shenandoah.
A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home. Travis will be laid to rest at the Old White Church Cemetery, Ringtown, following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make a Wish Foundation in memory of Travis. Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, is assisting Travis family during this time of need.
