Theresa Notarnicola, 89, a longtime resident of the Harrisburg area, currently residing in Cumbola, was escorted to her heavenly home by the angels on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

Theresa was born in Shenandoah on December 17, 1933, a daughter of the late Frank and Mille (Fesco) Avolio.  She moved to the Harrisburg area working as a supervisor for the former Bell telephone Company, and then later working for and retiring as a receptionist for the Community General Osteopathic Hospital for over 30 years.

She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Church in Harrisburg.

In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, John Notarnicola on April 21, 2012, and by her brother, James.

Surviving are her sister, Rosemary Tambasco, her brother, Frank Avolio, along with a nephew Tony Tambasco, and niece Angela Avolio-Miller and her daughter Myla.

Theresa will be laid to rest alongside her husband John at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Thursday, January 26th, at 11:30 AM.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service.
