Terry William Longenberger, 51, of 1053 State Road, Zion Grove, passed away unexpectedly Monday.

Born in Berwick, Sept. 1, 1962, he was a son of Doris Davis Longenberger, Zion Grove, and the late William B. Longenberger.

A 1980 graduate of Bloomsburg High School, Terry worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Blaschak Coal Company, Mahanoy City, and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.

Terry was a member of St. Peter's "Hargers" Union Church of Christ, Beaver Township.

Terry was a member of Beaver Township Fire Company and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hike, hunt and fish. He also raised steer and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, Doris, are his four children, Erin Marie, wife of Lance Scandle, Beaver Township, Kristie Lee Longenberger, Bloomsburg, TJ William Longenberger and Josh Michael Longenberger, both of Zion Grove; three grandchildren, Matthew, Blake and Laura; sister, Cindy, wife of David Cymbala, Bloomsburg; niece, Alicia Cymbala and her husband, Lucas; and nephew, Michael Cymbala and his wife, Ryann.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Terry's life, which will include refreshments, from noon until 6 p.m. Saturday at the social hall of St. Peter's "Hargers" Union Church of Christ, Beaver Township. Terry's family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory be made to a charity of the donor's choice . Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, assisted Terry's family during their time of need.
