Sonya K. Elchisak, 67, of Shenandoah, passed away Monday, September 12th, 2016.

Sonya was born in Shenandoah, on January 9, 1949, a daughter of the late Loretta (Seroka) and Michael  Elchisak.

She was raised in Shenandoah, then graduated from the Penn State University and worked as a lab assistant in the local area.  Sonya attended St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Shenandoah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Michael Elchisak

Sonya is  survived by a son, Christopher Brokenshire, of Ringtown and a grandson, Teigan.

She is also survived by a sister, Mary Reinhardt, of Lake Wallenpaupack.

Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 16th, at St. Michael's Cemetery in Shenandoah Heights.
