Ralph M. Rumbel Jr., 53, of West Main Street, Ringtown, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday as the result of an automobile accident.
Born in Shenandoah, Dec. 22, 1960, he was a son of Alice Llewellyn Rumbel, Ringtown, and the late Ralph M. Rumbel Sr.
He was a member of Aurand Memorial United Methodist Church, Ringtown.
Ralph attended North Schuylkill High School and was a welder and metal worker by trade. In his free time, he enjoyed working on automobiles and spending time fishing with his son.
In addition to his father, Ralph Sr., he was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Mummey; and a nephew, Carl Zehner.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, Alice, are a son, Ralph J. Rumbel, Ringtown; two sisters, Elaine, wife of Robert Paskanik, Mount Carmel, and Jean, wife of Charles Oliver, Ringtown; a brother, Phillip Rumbel, Ringtown; an aunt, Jean Wydra, Philadelphia; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ralph's family at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service.
