Patricia Ann Beenick, 84, passed away on July 2nd at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, after a brief residency. Prior to her residency at Seton Manor, she lived at Providence Place in Pine Grove since 2017.
Born in Lavelle on March 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Rose (Sweeney) Kopfinger. She attended Butler Township schools. Raised in Lavelle, her parents and older siblings affectionately referred to her as "Patsy". Pat was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, good neighbor and friend to all. She and her husband raised their family in Gordon. Pat enjoyed cooking, often preparing traditional German and Irish recipes she learned as a girl.
An Independent woman, Pat moved to Alexandria, VA to be with family and seek opportunities in business in 1987. Over the years she worked as a sales associate and account manager for various firms, previously in her native Pennsylvania, and later in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. She retired to Ringtown in 2005.
Pat enjoyed Sunday drives, and family vacations to the Poconos, Atlantic City, New England, Montreal, Smith Mountain Lake, VA, Rehoboth Beach and especially trips to North Carolina's Outer Banks. A friend to animals during her life, Pat loved her pets, from Mopsie to Pierre to Oreo, and so many more in between. She was a past member of the Ringtown Senior Citizens and Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, also of Ringtown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Beenick in 1989, a sister Rose, and brothers Fred, Frank, John and Joseph. She is survived by a son, Leonard (Kathy) Beenick, Ringtown, and daughters Bonnie (Al) Bader, Valley View and Leslie (Andre) Krevere, Roanoke, VA. She is also survived by grandchildren, Brian (Amber) Bader, Huntington, WV, Kelly (Patrick) Rockwell, Marietta, GA, and Tonya (Jim) Possessky, Brandonville. Great grandsons Nolan and Maddon Rockwell of Marietta, and Jacob Possessky, Brandonville, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home in Ringtown has charge of the arrangements. At the discretion of the family, services will be private. Interment will be at Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Fountain Springs. Contributions in her memory may be made either to the Ruth Steinert, SPCA in Pine Grove or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, New York, NY.
