Obituary
Patricia R. Abicunas, Ringtown, passed away Sunday at her residence.
Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late John and Sarah Lipiec.
After graduating from the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah, she moved to Connecticut with her husband James. After working 20 years for the Department of Defense, she and her husband relocated back to the Ringtown area.
Patricia was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was an avid reader, and also enjoyed doing puzzles.
She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Ringtown.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Chester; sisters, Helen, Sophie, Angie and Rita.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, James E. Abicunas, Ringtown; son, James J. Abicunas, Fountain Springs; daughter, Susan Danne, Aiken, S.C.; and grandson, James N. Abicunas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Church, Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Patricia's family from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church. Interment will be in St. Casimir Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights, immediately following the Mass. Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, is assisting Patricia's family during their time of need.
