Obituary

Myron “Mike” E. Davis, 95, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, June24th, 2026.

He was born on April 15, 1931, in Zion Grove, a son of the late Ellis H. and Erdie A. (Michael) Davis.

Myron graduated from Nuremberg High School in 1949 and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951-1954. Myron then went on to build a long and dedicated career at Shoemaker Auto Supply in Bloomsburg, where he worked for more than 35 years. He had a deep love for the outdoors and spent much of his time farming, gardening, and pursuing his passion as an avid hunter. Among his greatest joys was cheering on his great‑grandsons at their baseball games, memories he held close to his heart.

Myron was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church and served many years on church council.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth “Betty” M. and sisters, Lois Yohe, Lorraine Mensinger Temple, Jean Pennington, and Joan Oman.

Myron is survived by daughters Kathy Singley (Carl), Zion Grove; and Wendy Davis, Wilmington, DE; son, Rodney Davis, Zion Grove; grandson, Carl Singley II (Tara), and great grandsons, Aiden and Jackson, Weston. Also surviving are a brother, Mark H Davis, Wilmington, DE; and numerous loving relatives, friends and neighbors.
