Obituary
Mary E. Reich Cressman, 96, passed away Saturday at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton, where she had recently been a guest.
Born in Ringtown, Sept. 6, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Rose Laudig Reich.
Mary was a graduate of the former Ringtown High School. After marriage, she became a stay-at-home mom, who enjoyed cooking, baking and quilt making. She was an excellent seamstress.
She was a life member of the Ringtown American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as past president.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Cressman; three brothers, Ralph, Guy and Orville Reich; and a sister, Blanche Compton.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Sue, wife of Robert Valiante, and a granddaughter, Maria, all of Moosic; nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held by Mary's family, and memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 211, Ringtown, PA 17967.
