Mary C. Long, 85, a longtime resident of Ringtown, passed away on Friday, December 30th, 2016 at the Shenandoah Manor Senior Living Community, where she was currently a guest.

Mary was born in Shenandoah on February 6, 1930, a daughter of the late Peter and Anna Haverty.   She was educated and graduated from the  Shenandoah catholic schools.

A longtime member of St. John's Church in Ringtown, Mary was also very active in her community.

Along with her husband Allen, they were the founders and proprietors of the former Longs Luncheonette in Ringtown for many years until they passed the business onto their son, Robert "Booper" Long.

Mary also served as a long time Clerk of Courts in Schuylkill County, retiring from the position in 1986.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen, and her son, Robert "Booper" Long.

The last member of her immediate family, she is survived by her grandson, Robert Long, Jr., and his wife, Sharon, and by their children, Perry and Taylar; and by a granddaughter, Crystal Long of Frackville.  She is also survived by an extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family.
