Obituary

Lorraine Shenyo, 86, of Sheppton, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown, surrounded by her three daughters.

Born in Ringtown, PA, on December 28, 1939, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Leon and Bessie (Gilbert) Davidson. She was a 1957 graduate of the former Mahanoy Township High School.

Lorraine worked for several businesses throughout the local area, including College Casuals, Fabri-Kal, Executive Cleaning and Supplies, and the Hazleton PennDOT Driver’s License Center.

A member of the former St. James United Church of Christ in Sheppton, Lorraine cherished her family above all else and treasured the many friendships she cultivated throughout her life.

She enjoyed visiting casinos to play the slot machines, traveling to Florida to visit family, buying scratch-off lottery tickets, and spending holidays surrounded by her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Donald Shenyo, and her two sisters, Betty Novak and Thelma Schreffler.

She is survived by the family she loved so dearly: her daughter, Debora Ann Martoccio and her husband, Gary, of Tampa, Florida; her daughter, Vicki Lee Bevans and her husband, Lewis, of Sheppton; and her daughter, Shelley Jo Baum and her husband, Michael, of Chambersburg. She is also survived by her three grandsons, Gary Martoccio Jr. and his wife, Kailyn; Lewis Bevans Jr. and his wife, Sarah; and Nathen Baum and his wife, Sarah. Lorraine was especially fond of her two granddogs, Lily and Charley.

Also surviving are her three siblings, Marie Layton, Leon Davidson Jr., and Helen Labuda as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Brandonville. Friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
