Obituary
Lester W. Lindenmuth, 92, of Ringtown, passed away Saturday at Providence Place, Pottsville.
Lester was born in Ringtown, Feb. 16, 1923, a son of the late Harrison and Mary Reich Lindenmuth.
He was a 1941 graduate of Conyngham Township High School and was employed by Glenn L. Martin Aircraft in Baltimore prior to entering the Army Air Corps. While in the service, he was a mechanic and gunner on the B29 Aircraft until the end of World War II.
Lester was a lifetime employee of the former Purolator Filter Products, Pattersonville, but loved to recall his days of driving bus between Ringtown and Shenandoah. He spent many of his retirement years traveling and camping throughout the United States and Canada.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Zimmerman Lindenmuth, 2005, and a brother, Edward Lindenmuth, in 2002.
Lester is survived by his two sons, Gary R. Lindenmuth and his wife, Jean, Pine Grove, and Donald P. Lindenmuth and his wife, Linda, Frackville; a brother, Roy, Hamburg; a sister, Grace Jones, Ashland; grandchildren, Tracey Lindenmuth Reinoehl and her husband, Mike, Germanville, Matthew Lindenmuth and his wife, Jill, Holly Springs, N.C., David Lindenmuth and his wife, Natalie, Downingtown, Robert Rada, Louisiana, and Stephen Rada, Pine Grove; great-grandchildren, Dominique and Gabrielle Reinoehl, Vanessa and Cooper Lindenmuth, and Nicholas and Connor Rada.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown. Relatives and friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday morning. In lieu of flowers, Lester's family would prefer contributions to St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 261, Ringtown, PA 17967, or to the Ringtown Area Library.
