John B, Grohol, 95, a resident of Ringtown, passed away Thursday, January 16th, 2025.

John was born in Shenandoah on September 8th, 1929, a son of the late John B. and Rose (Wolk) Grohol.

He lived and worked in New Jersey for 30 years before relocating back to the Ringtown Valley, where he then worked for and retired from the Cadbury USA/Hershey Corporation.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church - Brandonville.  John enjoyed hunting and camping, and for over 10 years was a snow bird spending Pennsylvania winters in Bushnell Florida.

John was preceded in death by his wife Gladys (Mensinger) Grohol in 2007, a son James and by two brothers.

John is survived by four sons, John W. Grohol of Sheppton; David Grohol of Brandonville, Glenn A. Grohol of Ashland and Larry Grohol of Ringtown.

Eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren also survive as do two brothers, Thomas of Berwick and Steve of Florida along with nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 30th, 2025 at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown.  Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10-11 AM prior to the service.

John will be laid to rest alongside his wife at the Brandonville Union Cemetery, immediately following the service.
