John T. Anthony, Jr., age 52, of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2023, at his residence. He was born on September 4, 1970, in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Donna (Lindenmuth) Anthony of Brandonville, and the late John Anthony, Sr. He was raised in the Catholic faith at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Essex, MD, and later attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville, as well as several other churches in the local area throughout his lifetime. John was a talented, self-employed HVAC technician and dabbled in home remodeling contracting. He was a true Jack of all trades and an avid reader who loved to learn. John was an outdoorsman and enjoyed activities such as hunting, fishing, and crabbing. Additionally, he had a passion for creative cuisine and appreciated good food. A skilled storyteller, he would captivate friends and family with his tales.

John is survived by his mother, Donna of Brandonville; his daughter, Sara O'Donnell, wife of Steven O'Donnell, of Girardville, Pennsylvania; and a granddaughter, Isla O'Donnell. He is also survived by his aunt, Wendy Wake, wife of Nicky Wake, of Joppa, Maryland: aunt, Dorothy Greeley, wife of Bill Greeley, of Whiteford, Maryland; and numerous cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, a Brittany named Ginger. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 10 AM to 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville.
