Jere Gearhart, 83, of  Ringtown, passed away Thursday, June 15th, 2017.

Jere was born in Ringtown, on December 2, 1933, a son of the late Dollie (Wolfe)  and Kenneth  Gearhart.

He was a graduate of the former Ringtown High School and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringtown.

Jere was a life-long, 5th generation dairy farmer operating his family business, Gearhart's Dairy.    He was a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, the Pennsylvania Holstein Association and the Holstein Fresian Association of America.

Jere is survived by his wife,  Alma  (Rarick) Gearhart.  They would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversay on June 30th of this year.

Jere is  also survived by a daughter, Susan Vincenzi, of Bethlehem and a son, Glenn Gearhart and his wife Theresa, of Ringtown.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Lindsay wife of Justin Hendrick; Sara Vincenzi; Matthew Vincenzi and Bryan Vincenzi.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, 412 West Main Street,  at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 with Rev. Craig Zimmerman officiating.  Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday morning from  9 - 11 AM prior to the service.

Burial will take place at Old White Church Cemetery in Ringtown following the service.
