Gerald 'Jerry' Hart, 61, of Ringtown, passed away Friday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.

Born in Shenandoah, Dec. 11, 1952, he was a son of the late Gerald S. and Rita Stravinsky Hart.

A graduate of North Schuylkill High School, he was a lifelong truck driver, working both locally and over the road, and had last worked for Rands Trucking.

Jerry was a veteran, serving his country in the Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Smith; and a brother, Thomas Hart.

Jerry is survived by two sisters, Marie, wife of Jack Burke, Mahanoy City, and Brenda, wife of Thomas VanLieu, Fredericksburg; a brother, Glenn Hart and his wife, Jeanette, Seattle, Wash.; nieces and nephews.
