Elizabeth "Betty" Krupilis, 72, of East Park Avenue, Ringtown, passed away Saturday at her residence.
Born in Shenandoah, Dec. 1, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Frances and Elizabeth Tobin Yanonis.
She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Ringtown, and was a lifelong homemaker.
Betty was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Yanonis; two grandsons, Mitchell and Jacob Krupilis.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Krupilis, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage on Sept. 11. She is also survived by her children, Elizabeth, wife of John Walck, Wapwallopen, Joseph Krupilis Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, Bloomsburg, and Kathleen, wife of William Dagostin, Sugarloaf; three grandchildren, Joseph Nicholas Krupilis, Bloomsburg, Corrin and Jessica Dagostin, both of Sugarloaf; two brothers, Stephen Yanonis, New Jersey, and James Yanonis, Ringtown; a sister, Francis Yanonis, Ringtown; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at St. Mary Church, Ringtown, with the Rev. Jim Torpey as the celebrant. Elizabeth was laid to rest in St. Mary Cemetery following the Mass.
