Donald Schlauch, a former resident of Scotch Valley, Bloomsburg, passed away in the company of his family at his daughters residence in Zion Grove on Monday, July 28th, 2024.

Donald was born in Bloomsburg on November 22, 1938, a son of the late Richard and Mabel (Bankes) Schlauch.

A hard working man, Donald worked as a welder in the local coal mining industry.  He enjoyed the out doors and spending time with his family.  He was a former member of both St. John's Lutheran Church and Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Donald was the last member of his immediate family, and in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Schlauch and by his siblings, Samuel Schlauch, Ruth Hauck, Alvin Schlauch, Richard Schlauch and Nancy Broyles.

Donald is survived by his wife, Loretta (Griesing) Schlauch, along with his children, Donald (Jake) Schlauch, Linda Schlauch, William Schlauch, David Schaluch, John Schlauch, Wanita Kantner, and by step children, Anthony Feifer, Debra Dennison and Matthew Feifer.   He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
