Derrella E. Parliman, 88, of 100 S. Main St., Shenandoah, passed away Friday at Shenandoah Manor Senior Living Community.
Born in Pattersonville, Feb. 6, 1926, she was a daughter of the late William and Derrella George Walters.
She was a member of her reunion club for her graduating class of the former Conygham Township High School. After high school, she worked for the federal government in the computer industry, traveling the United States teaching computer programming.
She last worked for Trinity Mission Health and Rehab Center as a receptionist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Parliman, in 1986; and a brother, Francis Walters.
Derrella is survived by three daughters, Derrella, wife of Dennis Maguire, Clifton, N.J., Janet, wife of Bruce Kalogera, Secaucus, N.J., and Mary, wife of Leonard LeBrun, Ascutney, Vt.; stepson, Thomas Roylance, Missouri; brother, Paul Walters, Mountain Top; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, of whom she was very fond; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will take place in United Methodist Cemetery, Ringtown.
