Obituary

David "Reggie" Rhoads, 60, of Zion Grove, passed away Saturday at his residence.

Born in Hazleton, Feb. 18, 1956, he was a son of the late Delores Hasker and Kenneth Rhoads.

He was a graduate of the North Schuylkill High School and a member of the Aurand Memorial United Methodist Church in Ringtown.

Reggie enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was a member of the Shenandoah Fish and Game Club. He absolutely loved spending time riding his motorcycle.

Reggie last worked road maintenance for the North Union Township. Prior to that, he had several other jobs including many years working for Lynn's Asphalt and Paving in Zion Grove.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dianne Stravinsky, and his "fifth child," a mastif, Bubba.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lisa Zelli Rhoads; children, Michael Rhoads, Zion Grove, Ricky Teter, Zion Grove, Carisa Rhoads, Frackville, Chris Teter, Zion Grove; brother, Wayne T. Rhoads, Zion Grove; six grandchildren, Alexis, Emily, T.J., Ella, Pandora and Allena; nieces and nephews; along with his four legged grandson, Askim.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Aurand Memorial United Methodist Church, West Main Street in Ringtown. Reggie's family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
