Obituary
Christine Trexler Pickens, 90, wife of the late Norman Trexler, formerly of Ringtown, passed away Saturday while residing in Berryville, Va.
Christine was born in Masardis, Maine, July 17, 1924, a daughter of the late Earl and Ferne Murphy Johnston.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Norman, in 1977, and Alvinza Pickens Sr., in 1996.
Christine is survived by two sons, Bruce Trexler, Dover, Del., and Gary Trexler, Aldie, Va.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was one of 22 children, with only one surviving sister, Sylvia Witkowski, Augusta, Ga.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in United Methodist Cemetery, Ringtown, following the service.
