Christa (Hart) Barilla, 50, a resident of Marion Heights, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Christa was born in Ashland on May 25, 1972.  She attended the Mt. Carmel Area high school, and earned her masters degree in business management from Alvernia University.  She was employed as an assistant director of facilty maintenance ce at the Bloomsburg University.

A caring person, Christa was also a strong an stubborn individual who loved her family and enjoyed life.  She recently enjoyed many new adventures motorcycling and traveling with her husband, Joseph.

Christa was preceded in death by her niece, Brittany Zelinsky.

In addition to her mother, Elaine, wife of Robert Paskanik, Christa is survived by her husband, Joseph Barilla, a daughter, Cara, wife of Steven Lynch of Natalie; a son, Jonathon Yuskoski of Shenandoah, a sister Gina Hart of Kulpmont, and a granddaughter, Sylvia Yuskoski.

Christa was also mother to five fur babies, whom she adored.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Christa's family from 5-7 PM on Thursday, March 9 th at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown.  The Rev. Craig Zimmerman will conduct a prayer service at 7 PM, following the visitation.

Christa will be laid to rest during private family services at a later date.

Christa's family will provide flowers, and encourage memorial donations in her memory to be made to Mostly Mutts, 284 Little Mountain Road, Sunbury, PA  17801.
