Carrie Mae Deeble
Carrie Mae Deebel, 100, a former resident of Ringtown, passed away Sunday in Bethlehem.
Carrie was born in Ringtown, on March 22, 1915, a daughter of the late Rebecca (Dietz) and Armin Bley.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville, and was retired from the local garment industry. Carrie was a talented quilter, and enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen W. Deebel; and by 13 brothers and sisters.
Carrie is survived by a daughter, Jean Lorah, of Center Valley; a son, James Deebel and his wife, Lorraine, Lehighton; and a sister, Dorothy Zimmerman, Ohio. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
Service: Funeral service will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville, at 11 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Jay Serafin officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown, and again Saturday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Carrie will be laid to rest at the Girard Manor Cemetery in Phinneyville, following the funeral service.
