Bruce A. Johnson, 78, of Kunkels Hill Road, Ringtown, passed away Oct. 6 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Canandaigua, N.Y., Oct. 23, 1935, he was a son of the late Frank and Esther Piz Johnson.
He was a 1953 graduate of Sheppton High School and a 1955 graduate of Penn State University. He then served in the Army.
He was retired, having worked as vice president of human resources for the former General Accident Insurance Co., Philadelphia, for 35 years.
Bruce was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Ringtown.
He was an accomplished trap shooter and belonged to several area sportmens clubs. He was a model airplane enthusiast and also enjoyed photography. He was also a computer hobbyist who enjoyed online trading.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Celeste Zaremba Johnson; a son, Bruce P. Johnson, Ringtown; and a grandson, Joey Harrison.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Church, North Center Street, Ringtown. Interment will take place at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at a later date. Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, is assisting the Johnson family during this time of need.
