Anna Roy Janik, 99, of Ringtown, passed away Friday at Hazleton Campus of Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Anna was born in Trenton, March 13, 1916, a daughter of the late Helen Dudan and Michael Roy.
She was a member of St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah.
Anna worked as a secretary at the Department of Agriculture, Washington, D.C., and, after retiring, returned with her husband, the late Attorney Walter Janik, to the Ringtown Valley in 1979.
In addition to being preceded in death by her parents and husband, Anna was the oldest and last member of her immediate family. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Stephanie, Olga and Genivieve; and brothers, Bohden and Joseph.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Janik, Colorado; two grandchildren, Eric Shellhorn and Dana Shellhorn; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Casimir Church, sacred worship site of Divine Mercy Parish, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A viewing will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown.
