Obituary
Ann M. Kovalewski, 88, of Trout Run Road, Zion Grove, passed away peacefully Wednesday, surrounded by her family.
Born in Shenandoah, March 15, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Margaret and Enoch Dzakiewicz.
She attended Shenandoah schools and was retired, having worked in the local garment industry.
Ann was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Ringtown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kovalewski, in 1998; sister, Alberta McNelis; and brothers, Enoch, Joseph and Albert.
Ann is survived by a son, Charles Kovalewski and his wife, Frances, Ringtown; a brother, John Zakiewicz and his wife, Alfreda, Ringtown; three grandchildren, Cheryl, Charles and Ann Marie; and a great-grandson, Kenneth Majchzak, and was expecting the arrival of another great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church, North Center Street, Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services Monday at the church. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ringtown, immediately following the service. Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, Ringtown, is assisting Ann's family during their time of need.
