Alice Rumbel, 86, of West Main Street, Ringtown, passed away Wednesday at Geisinger Medical Center, Shamokin.

Born in Shenandoah, Nov. 11, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William and Clara Rose Llewellyn.

She attended school in Shenandoah and was a lifelong homemaker.

Alice was a member of Aurand United Methodist Church, Ringtown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Rumbel, in 2011; daughter, Diane Mummey; son, Ralph Jr.; grandson, Carl Zehner; great-great-granddaughter, Aadilyn Forker; brothers, William, Philip and Thomas Llewellyn; and sister, Lillian Ulchinsky.

Alice is survived by two daughters, Elaine, wife of Robert Paskanik, Mount Carmel, and Jean, wife of Charles Oliver, Ringtown; a son, Philip Rumbel, Ringtown; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 W. Main St., Ringtown. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Alice will be laid to rest alongside her husband in United Methodist Cemetery, Ringtown, immediately following the funeral service.
