Victor S. Stauffer, 102, a former resident of Scranton, currently residing in Myerstown, passed away Sunday, December 9th, 2018.
Victor was born in Ringtown, on November 12, 1916, a son of the late Pearl (Hartzel) and Lloyd Stauffer.
He was a 1934 graduate of the former Ringtown High School and a 1936 graduate of the former Thompson Business College in Harrisburg and began his working career at the Armour Company in Scranton, where he retired from as a manager.
Victor served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II.
He was of the Lutheran Faith , and served as a lay minister.
The last member of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Guy Stauffer, Peggy Deebel, Viola "Honey" Esposito and Edward Stauffer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Emily (Mummey) Stauffer, with whom he would have celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary on April 9, 2019.
He is also survived by two sons, Ronald Stauffer and his significant other, Susan Baux of Wyomissing; and Jack Stauffer, and his wife Bettie, of Beverly Hills, FL.
7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 12th 2018 at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Zion Grove.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 10 AM to 11 AM at the church prior to the service.
Victor will be laid to rest at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, immediately following the service.
