John Yunevage, Sr. Obituary

John E. Yunevage, 72, of Sheppton, passed away Saturday, September 8th, 2018.

John was born in  Shenandoah,  on July 11, 1946, a son of the late Mary (Sverha) and John S. Yunevage.

After graduating from high school, he served in the Unites States Army, then continued his military career, retiring in January of 1996 from US Army Reserves, Pennsylvania National Guard.

During this time he was also employed as a senior mechanic for ICI Americas in Tamaqua, retiring in 2006 after 31 years of employment.

John was a member of St, Joseph's Church in Sheppton and the Sheppton American Legion Post.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Carey.

He is survived by his wife,  Roseann (Malacusky) Yunevage, and by two sons,  John, Jr., of Zion Grove and  Brad, of Sheppton.  He is also survived by three grandsons, Jacob, John and Zane.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown at 11 AM on Thursday, September 13th, 2018.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 10-11 AM prior to the service.

Interment will follow at the Brandonville Union Cemetery.
