George L. Ney, 50, of Zion Grove,passed away on Sunday, December 30th, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical Center, due to injuries received in a work related accident.
George was born in Pottsville, on April 25, 1968, a son of Dolores (Urban) Ney, of Zion Grove, and the late George Ney.
He was a graduate of the West Hazleton High School and Vo-Tech, and was employed as a mechanic for Waste Management (WMPI) for 30 years.
George had a passion for restoring both cars and trucks was extremely talented as a mechanic, body man, painter and fabricator and was truly a jack of all trades. A generous man who never turned his back on anyone who needed help, he lived by the motto of doing the best you can in life.
In addition to his mother Dolores, he is survived by his brother Billy Ney, of Zion Grove, and his aunt Jeanette Benjamin, of Berwick, along with an extended family of many friends and neighbors who he considered his loved ones.
To honor George's wishes, everyone is asked to remember him as the man he was, as no public services will be held.
