CAROL LEE SEKULA

Carol Lee Armstrong Helton Sekula, 67, of 39 Amendola Drive Netcong, NJ, passed away Sunday, January 27th, at the Morristown Memorial Hospital, in Morristown, New Jersey.

Carol was born in Mt. Hope, West Virginia, on May 1, 1940, the daughter of the late E. Lawrence Armstrong and Creol (Helton) Willen. She was raised by her grandparents, William and Kathleen Helton.

She worked as a secretary in the Real Estate Business, and also volunteered as a secretary for her church, the Abiding Peace Church in Bud Lake, NJ. She also was very active in the Cub Scouts, and was a supporter of her husbands Rotary International Club. Carol was also a collector of teddybears and dolls, and enjoyed making doll dresses and also painted ceramics.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Gay Armstrong and Frances Neal and a brother, William Helton, Jr and also her step father, Ray Willen.

Surviving is her husband of 44 years, Edward Sekula, Jr., of Netcong. Her son, David, and his wife Gina, of Grantham, NH survive, along with their children, Nicholas and Tyler Sekula.

A brother, Howard Helton, and two sisters, Virginia Evans and Elizabeth Wood and her husband Kenneth and three nieces, Debra Parker, Lisa Rogers, and Kara Stutz also survive. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville at 11 AM on Saturday, February 2nd, with Rev. Jay Serafin officiating.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday evening from 7-9 PM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown, PA 17967 and also from 10-11 AM on Saturday morning at the church.

Interment will be in the Brandonville Union Cemetery immediately after the service.

Carol's family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory be made to either St. Johns Lutheran Church, the Abiding Peace Church, or the Multiple Myloma Foundation.
