EDITH SHOUP
Edith Shoup, 68, of West Main Street, Ringtown, passed away Sunday at the Hazleton General Hospital.
Edith was born in Zion Grove, PA on November 29, 1941, the daughter of the late Wilson and Dorothy (Stauffer) Shoup.
She was last employed as a dietary aide at the Mt. City Nursing Center in Hazleton prior to retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers, Carrie Weikel, Wilson Shoup and Ronald Shoup.
Surviving are a daughter, Tina Romer of New York; two sisters, MaryAnne VanBlargan of Oneida and Bonnie Shoup of Ringtown, along with two brothers, Ray Shoup of Shenandoah and Harold 'Peany' Shoup of Zion Grove. Nieces and nephews also survive. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing Thursday from 10 AM until 12 Noon at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown. As per Edith's wishes, a private burial will take place in the Brandonville Union Cemetery.
