JAMES LEWIS
James Lewis, 76, of West Main Street, Ringtown passed away early Friday morning at the Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center.
Born in Shenandoah on March 1, 1932, he was the son of the late Thomas and Bertha (Moyer) Lewis. He was a graduate of the Shenandoah High School and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Shenandoah.
Jim last worked for Jetzon Direct Mail for 11 years before retirement. Prior to that he worked at Purolator Products, formerly of Ringtown for 34 years.
Jim enjoyed sports, and was a fan of the New York Yankee's and the Green Bay Packers.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Lewis, John Delaney and George Delaney.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean (Makowski) Lewis, of Ringtown and a son, Ronald and his wife Martha Lewis of Shenandoah. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren - Damien, Carly and Zachary along with nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown, at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 21st.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday evening from 6-8 PM, and again on Tuesday prior to the service from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
