ROY RUPERT
Roy Rupert, 79, of Ringtown Road, Zion Grove passed away early Friday evening at his residence.
Born in Zion Grove on April 19, 1929, he was the son of the late Edwin and Lucy Rupert.
Roy was a graduate of the Nuremberg High School and then served as a Sergeant in the US ARMY.
He worked as a in all phases of the steel industry for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation prior to his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida and Susan Rupert, along with a brother Francis.
Roy is survived by three sons Edward of Walnutport, Kenneth of Palmerton and Dennis of Lehighton. He is also survived by two sisters, Edna VanBlargan and Arabell Hess.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren , 7 great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service and luncheon will be held in the social hall of the Mt. Zion Church in Zion Grove on Saturday, October 11 at 12 Noon.
