DORIS FOOSE

Doris Foose, 81, of Sheppton passed away Wednesday morning at the Hazleton General Hospital.

Doris was born in Ringtown, PA on October 15, 1926, the daughter of the late Wallace and Irene (Gottstein) Zimmerman. She attended Ringtown High School.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville and the East Union Township Senior Citizens.

A devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also an avid bingo player.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Foose in 2003. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christie Sue Carter and three sisters: Elva Boner, Bess Beaver and Emma Kreiger.

Surviving are three daughters, Margaret , wife of Thomas Krupilis, Brandonville, Susan, wife of Bernard Carter, Sheppton and Betty, wife of Ralph Bley, Phinneyville.

Doris is also survived by two sisters and three brothers: Alice Foose of Bensalem, Phyllis Clark of Phinneyville and Wallace, Earl and Robert Zimmerman, all of Ringtown. She is also survived by 7 grandchidlren, 5 great grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at at St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville, at 11 AM on Friday, March 14th, with Rev. Jay Serafin officiating.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday morning from 9 AM until the time of the service at the church. There will be no services at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the Brandonville Union Cemetery following the service.

Memorial donations in memory of Doris my be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Brandonville.
