REBECCA DERR
Rebecca Derr, 87, a resident of the Corrigan House in Hazleton, passed away Saturday morning at the Hazleton General Hospital.
Rebecca was born in Brandonville on October 30, 1922, the daughter of the late Maurice and Ida Houser.
In addition to being preceded in death by a brother and sisters, she was preceded in death by her husband William Derr in 1985. Through her lifetime she and her family resided in the Brandonville and Shenandoah areas prior to moving to Hazleton.
Rebecca is survived by three daughters and two sons, Cheryl Hower of Colorado; Judy Bonner of Reading; Karen Bellfield of Hazleton; Rodney Derr of Frackville and Alan Derr of Weatherly. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and greatgrandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown at 12 Noon on Wednesday, February 24th.
A viewing will be held Wednesday morning from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the United Methodist Cemetery in Ringtown, immediatley following the service.
