LILLIAN DEEBEL

Lillian Deebel, 68, of Housers Lane, Ringtown, passed away Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 at her residence.

Lillian was born in Tamaqua, on January 21, 1941, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Hoffa) Reiber. She was a graduate of the Tamaqua High School.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringtown where she was a member of the church council for many years.

Lillian worked as a seamstress in the local garment Industry and was a member of the ILGWU .

She and her husband, Paul Deebel celebrated their 46th anniversary on May 4th of this year.

Lil was also a member of both the Ringtown and Mahanoy City Woman's Clubs, a member of the former Ringtown Lioness Club, and a charter member of the Ringtown Area Recreation Committee.

An active member of the community, she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Donaldine Reiber.

In addition to her husband, Lillian is survived by two daughters, Judith Donahue of Las Vegas, NV. Patti Gauntt of Plymouth, MA and a son, Paul Jr. of Harleysville, PA. Two sisters, Corrine Boerner of Blakslee, PA., Charlotte Gehring of Summit Hill, PA and a brother, Harry Reiber of Mifflinville, also survive as do 6 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday evening from 6-9 PM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown.

On Saturday morning a Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, West Main Street, Ringtown at 11 AM, with Pastor Jay Serafin officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the church prior to the start of the service.

Burial will take place in St. John's Cemetery, Ringtown, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, Lillians family asks that memorial donations in her name be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, PO Box 261, Ringtown, PA 17967.
