
Daniel J. Bartell, 80, of 184 Fourth Street, Oneida, passed away Saturday afternoon at his residence.
Born in Nuremberg on December 3, 1928, he was the son of the late Rupert and Daisy (Foose) Bartell.
He was retired having last worked for the Bethlehem Steel corporation. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant and medic during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Fred and Richard and sisters Arlene Pangrazzi, Bertha Balog, Ruth Lindenmuth and Daisy Fagan.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan F. (Clark) Bartell, Oneida and a daughter, Pamela Jacobs of Oneida. He is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Wright of Nuremberg and June Stauffer of Camp Hill. One grandson, Myles Ethan Lascity of Queens, NY, survives as do nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of his family, with burial in the Nuremberg Cemetery.
