Howard M. Mowery

Howard M. Mowery, 75, of Frackville,  passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Wednesday afternoon, October 25th, 2017 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Howard was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on May 15, 1942, a son of the late Jacqueline (Darling)  and Howard  Mowery.

A mechanic by trade, he was retired, but and more recently he worked as a truck driver.

An avid hunter and outdoorsman, he was a member of the Shenandoah Fish and Game Glub.  He was also a NASCAR race fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Gilfert) Mowery; his son, Daniel Mowery and by a grandson, Michael Reese.

Howard is survived by his children, Carol Sue, wife of Dave Stiles; Kimberly Ann Sandbach; Renee Reese; Alan Gilfert and his wife Kathleen and Nicole Gilfert.   He is also survived  by his grandchildren, Taylor Madison Stiles, Sara Sandbach, Danielle Sandbach, Jack Sandbach, Joseph Sandbach, Daniel Mowery and Nicholas Reese.

He is also survived by his fiancee, Kathy Anderson of Ringtown.

In accordance with Howard's wishes, all services will be held privately by his family.
