Doris E. Dillman

Doris E. Dillman, 94, of  Williamsburg, VA, a former resident of Ringtown, passed away Friday, February 10th, 2017.

Born in Shenandoah, on March 12, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Sarah (Artley) and Raymond E. Herbein.

Doris and her husband, the late Robert F. Dillman, owned and operated a farm in the Ringtown Valley for almost 50 years.  For most of that time it was a thriving Christmas tree farm where families would wander through the snow each Christmas checking many trees before selecting their perfect tree.

She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Ringtown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert F. Dillman, and by her siblings, a sister Jean Keithan, and her brothers, Charles, Donald and elwood Herbein.

Doris is  survived by two sons Robert P. Dillman, and his wife Ann, of Williamsburg, VA and Ronald R. Dillman, and his wife Christine, of Windermere, FL.  She is also survived by a grand daughter, Susan Dillamn of Williamsburg, VA, and by grandsons, Robert A., of Yorktown, VA; Ronald S., of Reading, PA and Jeffery of Windermere, FL.
 
Great granddaughters, Katherine and Margaret Dillman of Yorktown, VA, along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service conducted by Pastor Craig Zimmerman, will be held at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at 11 AM.  Relatives and friends are invited to to visit with Doris's family from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at the Old White Church Cemetery, Ringtown, will take place immediatley following the service.
