David A. Howard

David A. Howard, 33, of Hazle Township, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 22nd, at his parents home in Ringtown.

David was born in Bloomsburg, on June 8, 1983, son of Roseanne (Logan) and Harry Howard, of Ringtown.

He was a 2001 graduate of the North Schuylkill High School and a  2005 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, earning an associates degree in Auto CAD and a bachelors degree in business management.

David has been a 10 year employee of Fastenal and he was currently the manager of the Hazleton branch.  He enjoyed music and played lead guitar in several local bands.     

A loving husband and father, David is survived by his wife, the former Rachael Monahan, and their daughter, Jemma, both of Hazle Township.

David enjoyed spending time with his family, and in addition to his parents Roseanne and Harry Howard of Ringtown he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mary Logan of Shenandoah  and also by his extended family, mother-in law, Janet, wife of Jerry Spott of Pocono Summit; father in-law, John "Jack" Monahan, Shenandoah; aunt, Linda Breznik and uncle, Albert "Butchey" Logan, Jr., both of Shenandoah.

He is also survived by brothers in-law and sister in-law, Justin Spott, Alex Spott, Noah Spott, Matthew Monahan and Savanna Spott.  Rachael's grandmother, Gale Mays of Ringtown also survives.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with David's family on Thursday Evening, September 29th, from 5-8 PM at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown.

In Lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted by the funeral home to assist Dave's family with unexpected expenses.
